Experience
Telemetry and Digitisation Engineering Intern - 3ME Technology
I completed a 12 week internship at 3ME Technology, as part of the digitisation and telemetry team. I worked on the development of the data-logging hardware for heavy load mining vehicles. This involved working with the Golang language, utilising docker and git for collaborative development, interacting with Mongo databases and employing Grafana for user focused real-time data visualisation. 3ME is a industry leading electrification company focussing on mining, marine and military applications with international scope and business.
Rowing Coach - Newington College
For several seasons I have worked as a junior rowing coach at Newington College in Sydney. Newington is a highly competitive GPS rowing program which demands excellence both on and off the water. I am responsible for the top Year 8 quads and have had great success, coaching both of my crews to winning seasons. Through this work, I am responsible training plan development, program operations and management, corresponding with parents and ensuring excellence in all facets of athlete development. This forces me to be highly organised, articulate and confident in my leadership.
Certificate of Cross Disciplinary Problem Solving - St Andrews College
This is an intensive course taught by some of the world’s leading thinkers, including academics from Oxford University and consultants from McKinsey & Co. The course is designed to develop soft skills, including problem solving, critical thinking, communication, emotional intelligence, and leadership. As part of the program, I developed an Australasian-focused strategy to combat the radically increasing quantity of space debris. This required developing economic and strategic plans for governments involved, several design iterations to account for new data and finally, defending my proposal against a board of critics. My plan was awarded a High Distinction in the course.
